Lib Dems again come last in local by-election - with just 19 votes!

The Liberal Democrats are starting to make a habit of coming last in elections.

Just a couple of weeks ago, Nick Clegg led his party to seventh place out of a field of seven candidates in a local by-election in Manchester - even managing to get fewer votes than the BNP and the Pirate Party.

And yesterday the Lib Dems managed to come last again - this time in a by-election in Wigan.

The party polled just 19 votes:
