'Council spent over 40,000 pounds on adaptions and now want us to move'

From the facebook page ‘Antibedroom tax natter goup’ 29th August 2013:

Council are forcing us to got to appeal at cost to you the taxpayer, when they have ignored this irrefutable evidence.

My wife is 44 years old and has just been promoted to using a 110kg electric wheelchair.
We have 1 bedroom spare, which due to wife unable to do stairs and not waking me or daughter up, except for emergencies, up by using stair lift, uses spare bedroom at night for commode and to use as Morphine keeps her awake at night to watch tv etc, so I am near in case of a fall or serious dislocation occurs.
Council put us into a 3 bedroom from a 2 bedroom as disability adaptions were needed.
They have spent over 40,000 pounds on these adaptions and now want us to move or demanding we pay a shortfall. There is nothing accessible or available in Council or private housing to meet my wife’s needs.
