Disabled Man’s Family Has Slammed Work Decision

John Kerr - Blind deaf and fed through a tube - Has 24/7 care

The family of a severely disabled Dundee man has hit out after he was deemed fit enough to work.

John Kerr is registered blind, deaf, is fed through a tube and requires 24 hour care.

His family received a letter from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) on Tuesday saying his disability benefit will be removed from the 7th of June.

The DWP has claimed the form required to register John as disabled had not been fully completed.

Family members say they have contacted officials who said an appeal against the decision would have to be lodged.
